Joseph Walker-Cousins MBE
Joseph Walker-Cousins MBE is the Founder and Principal of In Veritate Advisory, where he advises organisations operating across complex government, private sector and emerging market environments. His work focuses on helping executive teams understand challenging operating environments, develop market entry strategies, build trusted institutional relationships and navigate commercial growth across the Middle East and beyond.
Alongside his work with In Veritate, Joseph currently serves as Head of International Strategic Business Development for a leading Saudi digital health transformation company, supporting international market expansion, strategic partnerships and government engagement across the Middle East, Europe and Asia.
Previously, Joseph led Middle East strategic business development for KBR Government Solutions, supporting complex government programmes, infrastructure projects and major international opportunities across the Gulf region.
Before entering the private sector, Joseph served as a British Army officer on operations in Iraq and Afghanistan before working with the UK Foreign & Commonwealth Office. His diplomatic appointments included serving as Head of the British Embassy Office in Benghazi, Libya, together with advisory roles supporting UK government engagement across the Middle East and North Africa. He has also appeared as a specialist adviser to the House of Commons Foreign Affairs Committee.
Joseph holds a Master's degree from SOAS, University of London, is a Senior Fellow of the Institute for Statecraft, and a Global Fellow of the Project for the Study of the 21st Century.
Today, Joseph combines commercial, diplomatic and operational experience to provide senior executives with trusted strategic advice in markets where institutional understanding, relationships and local insight are often as important as technical capability.
